Anais Amin is a dynamic professional based in Los Angeles. She is acclaimed for her compelling work in journalism, strategic marketing, and dedicated community service. Raised in Los Angeles, Anais pursued her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English. While at UCLA, she played an active role in student government, serving as one of fourteen council members. This role enabled her to champion social justice initiatives, advocate for improved access to higher education, and support enhanced mental health services for veterans. She led a team of 40 volunteers and moderated a significant political debate among U.S. House of Representatives candidates, underscoring her leadership and commitment to civic engagement.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Anais continued her education at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where she earned a Master of Science in 2020. Her graduate studies focused on multimedia journalism, resulting in a master's thesis that provided a detailed analysis of the resettlement experiences of a Syrian refugee family in the U.S. This thesis was complemented by a related published article about her family’s historical escape from genocide and a video project on medication-assisted recovery, showcasing her ability to tackle complex subjects across various media platforms.

During her time at Columbia, Anais also engaged in investigative journalism, covering civil and criminal courts in the Bronx. Her work brought to light critical issues such as sexual abuse in Orthodox schools and the excessive use of force by private security personnel.

Anais's professional path in radio production began with an internship that transitioned into a full-time role as a production assistant at Marketplace, an award-winning public radio program produced by American Public Media. From June 2021 to December 2022, she was integral in researching, pitching, and editing stories and producing digital content that resonated with broad audiences.

Before her tenure at Marketplace, Anais worked at KPFK Radio 90.7 FM from 2017 to 2019, producing insightful radio segments on diverse social, political, and scientific topics. Currently, she is the Marketing and Brand Manager at a fashion manufacturing company, where she manages multimillion-dollar accounts and spearheads innovative marketing campaigns. Previously, she was an executive assistant in a dental lab and a PR and marketing intern at The Borgen Project, focusing on global poverty reduction.

Outside her professional pursuits, Anais is dedicated to community service, volunteering at animal shelters and a horse ranch for children with special needs. She is also an avid oil painter and photographer, enriching her advocacy efforts with her artistic talents. Passionate about the outdoors, she enjoys visiting museums and exploring new cultures. Fluent in Armenian and English, she is also improving her Spanish skills.
